All four Marian Catholic golfers carded under-80s on Friday to earn a 21-stroke victory over Minersville, 310–331, at White Birch Golf Course.
Collin Yurkanin led the way for the Colts, firing a match-low 75 to take medalist honors. Marian backed up Yurkanin’s round with remarkable consistency, placing five golfers at 79 or better. Carter Grant (78), Brayden Grant (78), and Patrick Bonner (79) or Derek Yurkanin (79) provided the remaining counting cards to seal the win.
Minersville kept things competitive at the top of its lineup behind strong rounds from Emma Troutman (76) and Garrett Sukeena (77). Sheldon Fickes (83) and Trista Troutman (95) rounded out the top four counting scores for the Battlin’ Miners.
