National Weather Service has issued a Flood Watch for Schuylkill County.
The Flood Watch is in effect until midnight.
Forecasters say flash flooding is possible due to excessive rainfall on Saturday. People living or with interest near rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone areas should take precautions ahead of any potential heavy rainfall.
NWS says numerous rounds of heavy rain showers and thunderstorms today will track east into this evening. Rainfall rates of more than an inch per hour are possible and flash flooding could occur with multiple thunderstorms across the same area in a short period of time.
Up to an inch of rain is possible on Saturday in Schuylkill County.
