National Weather Service has issued a Heat Advisory for Schuylkill County on Tuesday.
The Heat Advisory is in effect from 11 a.m. until 8 p.m. that day. Forecasters expect hot temperatures and high humidity on Tuesday, with Heat Index values between 96-103 degrees.
NWS says the Heat Advisory could be extended into Wednesday for portions of central Pennsylvania as another heat wave is anticipated this week.
According to the latest 7-day forecast for Pottsville, temperatures are expected to approach or top 90 degrees all week, with Monday being the relatively coolest of them all.
Monday’s high temperature in Pottsville will be about 85 degrees. On Tuesday, the 90s enter the chat with a high of 93 degrees.
Wednesday is likely the hottest day of the week, with a high temperature approaching 100 degrees. The 90s stick around through Friday and will be close enough for discomfort over the upcoming weekend, according to National Weather Service.
