Schuylkill County Man Accused of Body Slamming Neighbor Who Said Something About a Chain

Jancewicz faces assault charge

A Schuylkill County man is accused of body slamming a neighbor after he mentioned something about a chain he believed he lent him.

According to McAdoo Police, the alleged victim of the incident said that two days prior, he was walking his dog in an alley near his home when he passed by a neighbor’s house.

The man said he saw a chain laying in the area of the neighbor’s home and told the neighbor it looked like the one he’d lent him previously. This caused the neighbor, Robert Jancewicz, 54, to become enraged, the victim said.

It was at that point that Jancewicz grabbed the man from behind, picked him up off the ground and slammed him back down, the victim said. He said he’d been suffering from back pain since it happened.

Jancewicz has been charged with simple assault and harassment. A preliminary hearing before Magisterial District Judge Edward Tarantelli is scheduled for July 29.
