National Weather Service has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Watch for Schuylkill County.
The Severe Thunderstorm Watch is in effect until 1 a.m. Monday, July 6.
NWS issues a Severe Thunderstorm Watch when forecasted conditions make it possible for these storms to develop. Storms with strong, damaging winds and large hail are possible in an area covered by a Severe Thunderstorm Watch.
Forecasters are predicting heavy rain through Sunday night into Monday, with more than 2 inches of rain possible, especially in areas affected by thunderstorms.
