National Weather Service has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Watch for Schuylkill County on Thursday.
The Severe Thunderstorm Watch is in effect until 10 p.m.
Forecasters say the primary threat from severe storms today is strong winds, with gusts up to 60 mph. Storms are most likely to occur in the late afternoon and early evening hours, NWS says.
A similar threat exists on Friday in Schuylkill County.
The Severe Thunderstorm Watch is also in effect for the following counties: Adams, Bedford, Blair, Bradford, Centre, Clinton, Columbia, Cumberland, Dauphin, Franklin, Fulton, Huntingdon, Juniata, Lackawanna, Lancaster, Lebanon, Luzerne, Lycoming, Mifflin, Montour, Northumberland, Perry, Snyder, Sullivan, Susquehanna, Tioga, Union, Wayne, Wyoming, and York.
