Reimert Inherits Final-Lap Lead to Win at Big Diamond Speedway

Earns first win of the season; 10th of career

Defending track champion Louden Reimert, of Oley, took advantage of a final-lap collision between the front runners Friday night to secure his first BQ Concrete 358 Modified feature victory of the season at Big Diamond Speedway.

The victory, Reimert’s 10th career win at the 3/8-mile oval, moved him into the division points lead on BQ Concrete Night.

Rick Laubach had established a commanding lead over the field during a long green-flag run, with Reimert and Tim Buckwalter locked in a multi-lap battle for second behind him. On the final lap, leader Laubach made contact with the lapped car of Tim Fitzpatrick, who had spun sideways in Turn 4. Both cars came to a stop, allowing Reimert to inherit the lead.

Following a reset for a green-white-checker finish, Reimert held off a final-lap challenge from Buckwalter to take the win.

“First and foremost, I have to say that I feel horrible for Rick (Laubach) and that’s a super tough deal coming out of four to the checkered,” Reimert said. “He obviously had the car to beat tonight. But unfortunately, stuff like that happens and we were at the right place at the right time.”

The 25-lap feature was briefly halted on the opening lap when Logan Watt flipped his car in Turn 3. Watt walked away from the incident uninjured. Aleia Geisler led the restart before Laubach overtook her to mount his leading run.

Buckwalter finished second, followed by Jax Yohn, who advanced from the 17th starting position to finish third. Cody Manmiller and Mike Lisowski rounded out the top five.

Kevin Fitzpatrick of Branch Dale earned his first career feature win in the regular USS Achey Inc. 602 Crate Sportsman division. Fitzpatrick, who began the 2026 season with three consecutive wins in the Rookie Crate class, took the lead from Tyler Vidal following a lap-one restart in just his second start in the senior division. Fitzpatrick maintained a defensive line to hold off persistent challenges from Zach Steffey and Matt Martino, who finished second and third, respectively.

Roadrunners

Alex Schoffstall of Llewellyn extended his division record by securing his 40th career Roadrunner feature victory. Schoffstall challenged Joe Bassininsky for the lead while defending his position from Mike Reichert. Schoffstall executed the race-winning pass on Bassininsky with three laps remaining in the 20-lap event. Bassininsky finished second, and Reichert finished third.

Keystone Sport Compact Series

Brian Moyer of Reading won the 4-Cylinder feature after inheriting the lead during a late-race stoppage. A multi-car accident and rollover halted the field with three laps remaining. During the red flag, leader Ian Whitcomb pulled off the track with mechanical issues, components that handed the lead to Moyer. Moyer held the top position on the restart to finish ahead of Gary Grimm and Andrew Keefer.
