A lot of dogs and cats end up in shelters for many reasons. Hopefully, we never have to share a story like Philly’s again.
Last week, the folks at Krazy Kritters Co. place a call to Haley Weist, the dog manager at Hillside SPCA. They’d just discovered a lab-shepherd mix tied to a tree in New Philadelphia. No one is sure how long she’d been there.
Luckily, Hillside SPCA was able to shelter the dog and now Philly, as she’s become known, is looking for a special home where she can put the last week behind her forever.
Philly is about 3 years old and friendly. She’s just looking for a second chance at the life she deserves. See below for adoption information.

Hillside SPCA is located at 51 SPCA Rd., Pottsville.
Visitation and adoption hours are from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. every day of the week.
