A Schuylkill County woman is facing charges after she allegedly attacked her ex-boyfriend’s current girlfriend.
Police in Minersville say they were told by the victim of this alleged incident that Brianna Schaeffer, 32, of Cressona, attacked her from behind in the first floor of her home on N. Front St. on Nov. 11.
She said Schaeffer came up from behind her, pulled her hair and scratched her hands and face.
Police say they observed injuries to the victim that are consistent with her claims, including clumps of hair that were pulled from her head and kept in a plastic bag.
The victim is currently the significant other of Schaeffer’s ex-boyfriend, police say.
During the attack, Schaeffer also allegedly said to the victim, “Don’t disrespect Tom or Betty.”
Police have filed charges of simple assault and harassment against Schaeffer. A preliminary hearing has not yet been scheduled.
