A father and his son were briefly jailed last week following a reported altercation in which each assaulted the other.
Police in Pottsville say they were called to the 300 block of Mahantongo St. at about 7:30 p.m. on Nov. 13 for a domestic dispute.
As they arrived on the scene, police encountered Donald Snowell, 63, who had a visible injury to his face. Snowell reportedly told police that his son, Jacze Carabello-Snowell, 22, punched him in the mouth.
Carbello-Snowell told police that his father tackled him and punched him several time, causing bruising and a scratch below his eye.
Both were placed into custody and charged with simple assault and harassment. They were arraigned before Magisterial District Judge Edward Tarantelli who set bail at 10% of $5,000 each.
They each posted bail a short time later and have been released from jail. A preliminary hearing before Judge James Reiley on Nov. 24.
