Saint Clair council members unanimously approved their solicitor to begin the conservatorship process on more properties earlier this month.
At their regular council meeting on Aug. 5, Saint Clair council voted to approve conservatorship for the following properties:
- 126 Barn St.
- 516-518 E. Hancock St.
On the E. Hancock St. addresses, councilman Norm Diehl questioned the borough’s intention with that property but ultimately moved to approve the process.
Solicitor Ed Brennan said that once the borough is given control of the property, it has 120 days to get back to Schuylkill County Court with a plan for the property.
He said the borough’s engineer and code officers will see if the property is salvageable.
At the same meeting, the borough approved the marketing of the following properties through Holden Realty Inc., Saint Clair:
- 6 S. Mill St.
- 113-115 E. Hancock St.
Saint Clair council also approved the sale of 311 Broad St., pending court approval, for $5,400, per the recommendation of Holden Realty.
