The first heat wave of 2025 in Schuylkill County is here with temps in the mid-90s and Heat Index values higher than 100 the next two days.
HEAT WARNING in effect from 10 a.m. until 8 p.m. Monday. National Weather Service says Heat Index values could reach 107 today.
A high temperature of 95 degrees is expected. Overnight temps in the 70s will provide very little relief from the heat through the early part of the week.
HEAT ADVISORY in effect from 8 p.m. Monday until 8 p.m. Wednesday. It’s likely another Heat Warning could be issued for Tuesday as a high temperature of 96 degrees is currently in the forecast for Pottsville.

Friday: A chance of showers, with thunderstorms also possible after 2pm. Partly sunny, with a high near 81. Chance of precipitation is 50%.
