Schuylkill County Woman Facing Two Counts of Attempted Homicide Following Incident Tuesday Night

Jennifer Villa jailed on $500K bail

A Schuylkill County woman has been jailed on attempted homicide charges.

According to information released Wednesday night by State Police-Frackville, Jennifer Villa, 51, of McAdoo, began shooting at a neighbor’s door and a male.

Police say a physical altercation was happening between two male neighbors, one being Villa’s husband, on E. Blaine St. in the borough shortly before 9 p.m. Tuesday.

Villa went into her home to grab a gun. When she got outside, she sent a shot toward her neighbor’s door and two shots in the direction of the male with whom her husband was fighting, police say.

Villa was arraigned before District Magistrate Judge Stephen Bayer shortly after 5 a.m. Wednesday. She’s been charged with two counts of attempted homicide, two counts of aggravated assault, two counts of simple assault, two counts of reckless endangerment, discharging a weapon into an occupied structure, and making terroristic threats.

Bayer set bail at $500,000 cash and remanded Villa to Schuylkill County Prison. A preliminary hearing is currently scheduled for June 18 before Judge Edward Tarantelli.
