Nativity BVM only needed four innings to capture its second consecutive District XI Class 1A baseball title on Saturday afternoon.
The Hilltoppers offense came out loaded for bear and posted crooked numbers in each of the four innings on its way to a 15-0 win over Notre Dame-East Stroudsburg at North Schuylkill.

Ryan Grabowski went 3-for-4 at the plate, drove in a pair of runs and scored two to pace the Nativity offense.
The Hilltoppers scored five runs in the first and third innings while adding three in the second and two in the fourth to clinch the mercy-rule victory over the Spartans.
Grabowski’s double in the fourth inning brought home two runs to ice the game.

Ryan Examitas, Nathan Cooper, and Zeno Rugh each had two-hit games for the ‘Toppers. Nick Wagner and Stephen Karinch scored three runs apiece. Grabowski, Examitas, Rugh, Andrew Verchick, and Wagner all drove in a pair of runs, too.
On the mound, Wagner allowed just two hits in the fourth inning and struck out five Spartans batters for the win.
