New Jersey Man Takes Yuengling Light Lager Jogger Crown Once Again

Orwigsburg’s Tyler Ruff was the top local finisher Saturday.

A New Jersey man once again won Saturday morning’s Yuengling Light Lager Jogger 5K.

Kyle Price, 37, of Milltown, NJ, says he’s run in every one of the races held in Pottsville and keeps coming back because he keeps winning. He’s literally won every live version of the race since it was first held in 2013.

But now as he gets closer to the big 4-0, he says, “It doesn’t get any easier.” As he crossed the finish, a tall boy of Yuengling Lager waited for him.

Price finished the 5K in a time of 17:40, 4 seconds ahead of Tyler Lundquist, of Palmyra, and Cody Brady, of Emmaus, who finished third with a time of 18:03.

Price says he sees racers in the 2025 rendition of the Light Lager Jogger who are younger than when he started running in the annual event.

The top local finisher was Tyler Ruff, 37, of Orwigsburg, who claimed 8th place with a time of 19:31.

The top female finisher in Saturday’s Yuengling Light Lager Jogger was Dominique Ramer, 39, of Nesquehoning, who crossed in 21:26. Marissa Kleman, 27, of Mount Carmel, was second among women in a time of 21:46.

Shannon Peters, of Harrisburg, was the third woman to cross the finish at Saturday’s Yuengling Light Lager Jogger 5K in Pottsville. (Coal Region Canary photo)

Taylor Cicero, 32, of Pottsville, was the top Schuylkill County woman Saturday, and finished in a time of 22:16.

More than 2,300 runners and walkers took to the streets of Pottsville for this year’s race. They battled through a refreshing, steady light drizzle, making their way along the 5K course that began and ended in the 600 block of Mahantongo St.

A post-race block party – that featured ample supplies of Yuengling beer and food and other vendors – capped off the early part of Saturday in Pottsville.
