Schuylkill County Woman Accused of Racist Tirade, Assault, Flashing 12-Year-Old

Annie Morrisey locked up on 10% of $5,000 bail

A Schuylkill County woman remains behind bars after police say she directed a racist slur at a 12-year-old boy, spit on and slapped him, threw a beer can at him, and then exposed herself to him.

According to court documents, police in Shenandoah say they heard from a 12-year-old boy who had been approached by a woman on N. Vine St. who assaulted him.

The boy reportedly told police that the woman – identified as 56-year-old Annie Morrisey, of Shenandoah – approached him and called him a n****r and yelled at him saying that he doesn’t belong in that town and that “This town has been ruined since your people moved into this town.”

Morrisey started shoving the boy multiple times as she was in the middle of her racist tirade then slapped him in the face, according to police. She also reportedly threw a beer can at him before pulling her pants down and exposing herself to him, police add.

After her attack, Morrisey allegedly grabbed the beer can she hurled at the boy off the ground and took it with her.

Police later caught up with Morrisey and say during their interview with her, she was slurring her speech, stumbling around, and smelled of alcohol. As police attempted to take her into custody, Morrisey allegedly tried pulling away and saying she wasn’t going anywhere.

While in custody, Morrisey allegedly refused to walk herself into the Shenandoah Police patrol vehicle so an officer had to carry her and place her into it.

Back at the police station, Morrisey allegedly threatened to pee all over the holding cell and then began spitting all over it. She also allegedly yelled at police, calling them “dirty pigs” as she rattled the cell door.

During a search of Morrisey while she was in custody, police say she had two empty Twisted Tea cans on her and three full cans from a six-pack.

Police have charged Morrisey with two counts of institutional vandalism, simple assault, resisting arrest, and disorderly conduct, all misdemeanors as well as charges of harassment and public drunkenness.

She was arraigned before District Magistrate Judge Stephen Bayer and is being held at Schuylkill County Prison on 10% of $5,000 bail. A preliminary hearing is currently scheduled for Thursday before Judge Anthony Kilker.

Where are the child abuse charges that apparently started this whole ordeal? She mentally, physically, and verbily assaulted this 12 year old boy. Then her bail is basically $500.00 to be free. So you can harm a child, just dont wreck the holding cell.WTF
