One person died in a house fire in Saint Clair on Thursday morning.
The Schuylkill County Coroner’s Office has confirmed to The Canary that they were sent to 19 W. Carroll St. in the borough this morning for a deceased person inside the home.
At about 8 a.m. Thursday, firefighters were sent to this location for a report of a house fire. When firefighters arrived, they reported smoke emanating from the small home.
Fire was brought under control in about a half-hour.
Emergency crews from Saint Clair, Port Carbon, and Pottsville responded to the scene.
