A Pine Grove man died in a single-vehicle crash along Sweet Arrow Lake Rd. overnight Thursday into Friday.
According to information released Friday by State Police-Schuylkill Haven, the crash occured on Thursday night, just minutes before midnight, on Sweet Arrow Lake Rd., near its intersection with Wolfes Rd. in Washington Township.
At that time and location, a vehicle driven by Robert Miller, 18, of Pine Grove, was headed west when it crossed into the eastbound lane of the road. Miller over-corrected when getting back into the westbound lane, police say, going off the road and into an embankment. His vehicle came to rest after striking a tree.
Police say Miller was not wearing his seat belt at the time of the crash. He was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash at about 1:15 a.m. Friday by a member of the Schuylkill County Coroner’s Office.
