A fight over a plate of pork chops resulted in charges being filed against a Schuylkill County woman over the weekend.
According to State Police-Frackville, the fight happened at a home on W. Atlantic St. in Shenandoah on Saturday afternoon.
Police say a Halifax man admitted to intentionally knocking his girlfriend’s plate of pork chops on the floor.
The girlfriend, a 31-year-old Shenandoah woman, reacted by striking him in the face with metal kitchen tongs.
That Halifax man suffered a laceration on his upper lip.
The Shenandoah woman was taken into custody and charged with simple assault and harassment. She was arraigned before District Magistrate James Reiley and released on $10,000 unsecured bail.
