A Pottsville woman died in a vehicle crash early Monday morning in the city.
According to information released by Lehigh County Coroner Daniel A. Buglio, 37-year-old Lisa Dimitri was pronounced dead at 10:23 a.m. on Monday at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest.
Dimitri died from injuries she suffered in a crash that happened in the 2000 block of W. Market St. in Pottsville at about 6:15 a.m. Monday, Sept. 9.
According to Buglio, Dimitri was the driver of a vehicle that struck multiple parked vehicles. The cause of her death is listed as blunt force injuries to the torso caused by that crash.
The Coroner’s Office in Lehigh County and Pottsville Bureau of Police are continuing their investigation into the crash.
According to a report from the Republican Herald, a child in a car seat was in Dimitri’s vehicle at the time of the crash. Both were flown by medical helicopter to Lehigh Valley-Cedar Crest after the crash.
