With thousands of people expected in Pottsville on Saturday for the 2024 Yuengling Stars & Stripes Summer Celebration, parking will obviously be of some concern to many making their way to the city.
The Canary met with organizers ahead of this weekend’s massive event to get the low-down on where visitors can park and access the events downtown.
Here’s a look at where you can park and how you’ll be able to get to the festival:
First of all, on-street parking will be available anywhere that the festival is not happening in Pottsville, if you’re lucky enough to find a spot.
There will be several paid and free parking lots available to festival-goers. All parking is cash only:
- Premium parking near the Main Stage at the Alvernia University parking lot is $25 per vehicle.
- Parking at One Norwegian Plaza is $10.
- The Martz Hall parking lot costs $5.
- Free parking lots are available at JFK Pool, the Schuylkill Medical Mall (700 Schuylkill Manor Road), and at United Metal.
Shuttles will be running all day to and from the parking lots not near the festival area.
