A McAdoo man has died as a result of injuries he suffered in a swimming accident last week.
According to Lehigh County Coroner Daniel Buglio, 55-year-old Michael Scarlato died on Monday night as a result of cervical spine fractures suffered in an at-home swimming accident.
Emergency personnel were called to the scene of a potential drowning last Monday at a home in Kelayres.
First responders performed life-saving procedures at the scene before Scarlato was rushed to Lehigh Valley Hospital-Hazleton and then via helicopter to Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest.
