An Orwigsburg man was seriously injured in a one-vehicle crash on Route 61 last week.
State Police-Schuylkill Haven say Thomas Paine, 68, had to be taken via medical helicopter to Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest for treatment of his injuries.
At about 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, June 5, Paine was traveling on Route 61 when his truck rolled over.
When police arrived at the scene of the crash, just south of Summer Valley Rd. in West Brunswick Twp., Paine’s truck was laying on its top in the right lane of the northbound side of Route 61.
First responders had to extricate Paine from his truck and he was immediately taken by helicopter to the hospital.
Deer Lake and Orwigsburg fire departments were joined at the scene by Auburn EMS and Schuylkill EMS.
