More than 27,000 PPL customers are without electricity following a heavy snowstorm overnight into Tuesday morning.
That figure is likely higher in actuality because the PPL outage center is not including the borough of Palo Alto, where The Canary is located and is without electricity.
The number of outages locally is far greater than any other county which PPL services.
PPL’s outage map estimates power to be restored in most locations in Schuylkill County by Thursday.
We are trying to confirm with the power company if that restoration estimate is accurate.
