A portion of Pottsville is being advised to boil their water following a water main break Monday morning.
Schuylkill County Municipal Authority says a water main break happened on Peacock St. on Monday morning.
Customers on the following streets in Pottsville are being advised to boil their water as a result:
- All homes on Peacock St.
- All homes on Beckers St.
- 583-630 W. Railroad St.
- All homes on Eagan St.
- 668-749 Seltzer Rd.
- All homes on New St.
- All homes on New Street Circle
- All homes on John McGovern Rd.
People in this affected area should boil their water for 1 minute before drinking.
Three days of clean testing is required before a Boil Water Advisory is lifted.
