A Tremont woman says someone recently broke into her home while she was away and stole a pistol and some ammo from her.
According to State Police-Schuylkill Haven, troopers were called to a home on W. Laurel St. in Tremont on Nov. 12. There, a borough woman said she’d been away, traveling out-of-state, and left her firearm at home.
While she was away, the woman reports that someone broke into her home and swiped the gun and some hollow-point ammo.
The firearm is described by police as a Beretta Nano 9mm and the ammo for it was manufactured by Federal Laboratories.
Police are actively investigating this reported theft, have conducted several interviews already, and say they have “multiple suspects” already identified.
