One person died Wednesday night in a house fire in Hegins Township.
Fire crews responded to a home at 1256 W. Main St., Hegins Twp., late Thursday evening.
As we arrived at about 10 p.m., crews had the fire under control and a State Police Fire Marshal was on scene to conduct an investigation.
Fire Marshall Joseph Hall confirmed to Coal Region Canary that an elderly woman passed away in the fire. Her identity was not released.

No other details were available Wednesday night.
Hall said an investigation into the cause of the fire will continue Thursday morning.
