State Police are actively investigating the deaths of 2 people found in a wooded area of New Philadelphia on Tuesday morning.
The Troop L Major Case Team is on the investigation.
According to information released this afternoon, the bodies were found near Ferndale Rd. in New Philadelphia, about a mile east of Route 209.
Both of the deceased were found at 3:25 a.m. Tuesday. The Schuylkill County Coroner’s office pronounced both people dead at about 6 a.m.
Police promise more information will be released on this investigation as it develops.
