The 5 candidates who will appear on the ballot in the Nov. 7 General Election ballot for Schuylkill County Commissioner are set to square off for their one and only debate next week.
Debate night is set for Tuesday, Oct. 10, at 6 p.m. at Penn State-Schuylkill’s John E. Morgan Auditorium in the Student Community Center. The debate is being hosted by Schuykill Chamber of Commerce.
We’ve learned that Commissioner candidates have been told what the general subjects of the questions will be prior to the debate but the specific questions are not known.
Appearing on debate night will be the 5 candidates:
- Barron Hetherington, Republican
- Larry Padora, Republican
- Gregory Woll, Libertarian
- Gary Hess, Democrat
- Rita Anczarski-Baldino, Democrat
There’s also a “mix-and-mingle” event with the candidates at 5 p.m. at the Student Community Center prior to Tuesday’s debate.
Though admission is free for the debate, Schuylkill Chamber of Commerce is requiring attendees to register for it prior to the event. You can do that at the organization’s website, schuylkillchamber.com or by calling 570-622-1942.
