Frackville native and former North Schuylkill High School standout Reggie Crawford took his next step toward a potential career in Major League Baseball earlier this week.
The San Francisco Giants promoted the two-way phenom to the Eugene Emeralds from the San Jose Giants. The Emeralds are the San Francisco Giants Class High A affiliate and play in the Northwest League.

The Giants clearly think highly of Crawford. He’s seen very limited action with the Low-A San Jose Giants in 2023 as he continues to battle back from Tommy John Surgery in 2021.
For the season, Crawford has appeared in 7 games on the mound, throwing 11 innings, striking out 18, with a 4.09 ERA.
At the plate, Crawford is hitting .250 (4-for-16) with 1 home run and 5 RBI.
The Emeralds return to action on the road Friday night for the start of a series against the Vancouver Canadians (Blue Jays). You can watch Emeralds games on MiLB.tv.
