Firefighters from across Schuylkill County spent Saturday afternoon battling a house fire in New Philadelphia.
A second alarm fire was reported at 36 Water St. in the borough before 4 p.m. Fire crews from as far away as McAdoo were at the scene.

According to a Facebook post from Good Intent Fire Company in New Philly, heavy fire started at 36 Water St. Fire spread to a neighboring property at 34 Water St., which is at the corner of Water and Lombard streets.
As The Canary arrived, fire crews had successfully tamed the worst of the blaze.
This is the third New Philadelphia house fire in two months, according to the fire department.
