Travis Blankenhorn smacked his first home run of the 2023 season on Wednesday, propelling his Rochester Red Wings to a win over the Syracuse Mets, 11-4.
The win was Rochester’s first of the season.
In the 7th inning, Blankenhorn deposited a Jose Chacin pitch over the wall in left field to expand his team’s lead over the Mets.

That homer wasn’t the only bright spot for the Pottsville native. On Wednesday, Blankenhorn went 3-for-5 at the plate, with a double and homer. He drove in 3 runs and scored a pair.
Wednesday’s offensive outburst raised Blankenhorn’s season average to .313.
