A Tamaqua man escaped injury earlier this week when his vehicle was sideswiped by an unknown driver.
According to State Police in Frackville, the crash happened on Route 54 in Ryan Twp., west of Crystal Lane. It happened on Jan. 25, just after 1:30 p.m.
Police say the road was snow-covered at the time of the crash.
Joseph Koenig, Tamaqua, was driving on Rt. 54, when an unknown driver lost control of their vehicle around a right-hand curve in the road. Koenig’s vehicle was sideswiped but the other driver kept going.
Koenig was not injured.
Police describe the escaping vehicle as a sliver Subaru Outback-type car built sometime after 2000.
Anyone with information about this crash is asked to call the Frackville barracks of Pennsylvania State Police.
