Severe Thunderstorm Warning Issued for Schuylkill County

60 mph wind gusts and nickel-size hail possible.


National Weather Service has placed Schuylkill County under a Severe Thunderstorm Warning.

The Severe Thunderstorm Watch is in effect until 6:45 p.m. Thursday, March 31.

The areas in Schuylkill County affected by the warning include:

  • Pottsville
  • Shenandoah
  • St. Clair
  • Minersville
  • Frackville
  • Ashland

Areas between Mile Markers 104-126 on Interstate 81 are also in the path of severe storms.

These storms are capable of producing 60 mph wind gusts and nickel-size hail.
