National Weather Service has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for Schuylkill County until 6:15 p.m.
According to an NWS alert, “At 514 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line extending from Slabtown to near Marshallton to Lykens, moving east at 30 mph.
The main threat from these potentially severe thunderstorms moving into the area is wind. Up to 60 mph wind gusts could occur during a thunderstorm. Penny-sized hail could also occur.
