For many, the Girardville St. Patrick’s Day Parade is one of the most anticipated events of the year. And those people have been disappointed the past 2 years.
But the disappointment ends this year as Schuylkill County’s most popular parade returns following COVID cancellations in 2020 and 2021.
Organizers announced on Wednesday that the 2022 Girardville St. Patrick’s Day Parade steps off at noon on March 26, 2022. A Catholic Mass will be celebrated that day at 10 a.m. at St. Vincent de Paul on N. 2nd St.
The theme of the 2022 parade is “Honoring Girardville’s Veterans of the Past and Present”.
This will be the 17th Girardville St. Patrick’s Day Parade. Of course, the event is known for an appearance once made by former President Bill Clinton.
