A Shenandoah man is facing a weapons charge following an incident in town last week.
According to State Police in Frackville, the incident took place back on Jan. 19, just after midnight at the Turkey Hill on S. Main St.
Police say Richard Bates, 36, was causing a disturbance inside the convenience store. When police caught up to him, they say Bates was wearing a trench coat and wielding a machete.
A prohibited weapons charge is expected to be filed against Bates.
