As Yuengling becomes a national brand, you can expect to see and hear it appear in pop culture references. Oddly, it happened last night on Saturday Night Live.
Yuengling came up during a Weekend Update segment “Three Guys Who Just Bought a Boat” and was based on the recent news that SNL actors Pete Davidson and Colin Jost bought a decommissioned New York City ferry boat.
Check out the bit here:
It’s strange to hear Yuengling’s name dropped on an infamously left-wing comedy show. The left seems to really loathe Yuengling but it also seems obvious they never really tried it.
Either way, there’s no such thing as bad publicity and this is the second time the iconic Pottsville brand has appeared on SNL. In the “Murder Durdur” sketch from May 2021, Kate McKinnon’s character hands a father whose durdur’s been murdered a Yuengling and a Wawa hOagie.
