Country music star Lee Brice will be the headline act of a free concert at this year’s Yuengling Stars & Stripes Summer Celebration in July.

Brice was nominated for a Grammy award back in 2014 for Best Country Solo Performance for the song “I Drive Your Truck”. That song won him the Song of the Year Award from the Academy of Country Music Awards (ACM) the same year. Two years earlier he won the same prize for his song “Crazy Girl”.

Brice posted this message to Twitter on Tuesday, announcing his upcoming show date here in Pottsville.

“I can not wait to rock with y’all and celebrate America, our veterans and Team Red, White & Blue,” he said in his short video.

The event is part of the Pottsville brewer’s Stars & Stripes program. The program benefits Team Red, White & Blue, a non-profit organization with a focus on  In 2021, Brice was named a Yuengling brand ambassador.

“Gathering for live music, great beer and fireworks is the kind of fun we know Yuengling fans look forward to, especially during the patriotic July 4 week,” Wendy Yuengling, Chief Administrative Officer at D.G. Yuengling & Son, says in a press release announcing the Summer Celebration. “At Yuengling, we are honored to partner with Team RWB to support our military community, while creating a great event for our loyal fans and the local community. There is no better performer than Lee Brice to help us host what is sure to be a memorable celebration of the Stars & Stripes in our hometown.”

From the description, this year’s Summer Celebration will look a lot like the inaugural event back in 2019. That will probably sit well with a lot of people.

The brewery is promising “opportunities for VIP experiences, meet and greets with Lee Brice, specialty samplings of Yuengling’s iconic beers and exclusive ways to explore America’s Oldest Brewery.”

Additionally, like a few years ago, the Summer Celebration will feature food trucks and other vendors in a day-long event.
