State Police are asking residents of Schuylkill County to be on the lookout for a man they consider armed and dangerous.
According to information released Tuesday morning from State Police in Hazleton, David Carls is considered a person of interest on suspicion of armed vehicle theft and arson.
They describe Carls as a 57-year-old white man, standing 5-feet 4 inches tall with balding brown/blonde hair and a beard. He was last seen wearing a knit hat, blue Dickies-style pants and a blue mechanic’s jacket with “Carls Electric” embroidered on the chest of the jacket.

Carls was seen in a 2019 black Jeep Cherokee with a PA Zoological Society license plate (the one with the tiger) and a registration ag of PZA 787B. The rear driver’s side brake light is not working on the vehicle.

If anyone knows where Carls is, they’re asked to call 9-1-1 and not to approach him as he’s considered armed and dangerous.
According to Trooper David Beohm, PSP Public Information Officer, Carls allegedly has ties to Schuylkill County.
