Police in Pottsville have arrested a city man they say stabbed a woman on W. Race St. Wednesday afternoon.
According to information released Thursday, Kevin Harris, 37, of Pottsville, was taken into custody after a 27-year-old woman at 810 W. Race St. identified him as her attacker.
When police arrived at her home at about 2:40 p.m., they say she was suffering from “multiple stab wounds, bruises, and defense wounds to her body.”
The woman allegedly told responding EMS personnel that Harris had attacked her. Police say they conducted an initial investigation and were able to track down Harris. He was arraigned before a District Judge and sent to Schuylkill County Prison on $30,000 cash bail.
Harris faces charges of aggravated assault, simple assault, and reckless endangerment.
The victim of his alleged attack was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment of her injuries.
