A total of 18 vehicles were damaged by vandals in Pottsville during the overnight hours of Oct. 11-12.
According to information released by police in the city, the side mirrors of these 18 vehicles were targeted. They say a passenger in a dark-colored sedan used an “unidentified object” and attacked the side mirrors of vehicles. Some vehicles sustained more damage than that, like smashed windows and dented bodies.
Police believe the vandals followed a course around Pottsville. It looks like the vandalism spree began on Laurel Blvd. near 9th St.. They then went west on Laurel Blvd. to north on 12th St. They then hit Mt. Hope Ave., going west toward Walter Griffith Ave. and then onto Peacock St. to North Centre St.
Pottsville PD is asking for the public’s help in identifying the vandals. Anyone with information is asked to call them at 570-628-3792.
