An Indiana man died Saturday evening in a tractor-trailer crash on Interstate 81 in Schuylkill County Saturday evening.
According to State Police in Frackville, the crash happened at the on-ramp to the highway from Route 309 in Kline Twp.
Police say that a truck driven by Satnam Singh, 24, of S. Richmond Hill, NY, failed to negotiate a left curve in the road on the on-ramp. The truck hit a guide rail on the right side of the road. It continued going forward and then hit an embankment and overturned on its passenger side.
While Singh sustained minor injuries in the crash, his passenger, an unnamed man from Greenwood, IN, did not survive. He was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash.
