A Pine Grove man succumbed to injuries he suffered in a head-on collision Sunday morning.
According to information released by State Police in Schuylkill Haven, Harvey Warner, 72, was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash following life-saving measures taken by first responders.
Police say the crash happened just before noon Sunday along Pleasant Hill Rd. near the intersection of Tregag Lane in Pine Grove Township. That’s where 28-year-old Charles Williams, of Pine Grove was traveling south along Pleasant Hill Rd. Warner was traveling in the northbound lane of the road.
It’s believed that Williams was driving too fast and lost control of his vehicle. Williams’ vehicle crossed over into the northbound lane and struck the vehicle driven by Warner head-on.
Williams was taken to Hershey Medical Center for treatment of the injuries he suffered in the crash.
First responders attempted life-saving measures on Warner at the scene but he was pronounced dead there by the Schuylkill County Coroner’s Office.
Members of Hegins EMS, Tremont Ambulance, and Pine Grove Community Ambulance were assisted at the scene by members of Ravine Fire Rescue, Ravine Fire, Suedberg FIre, and Pine Grove HHL.
