
An 8-year-old boy died in Schuylkill County Wednesday morning after he was struck by a tractor-trailer.
According to information released today by State Police in Frackville, the boy was riding an ATV in a private parking lot on Hazel St. in Delano Township this morning at about 11:40.
Police say as the boy was riding the ATV, a tractor trailer entered the same parking lot and was turning behind a garage on that property. The driver of the truck did not see the child on the ATV and struck him with the truck’s right rear tires.
The boy died as a result of the injuries he suffered.
Police have not released the name of the victim or the truck driver involved in this incident. The death is being ruled accidental.
