State Police continue their pursuit of a Girardville man they say robbed a business earlier this week.

According to information released from PSP-Frackville barracks on Friday morning, they’re looking for 25-year-old Steven Melsom (pictured above). Police believe Melsom broke into the Guntown Saloon on N. 2nd St. in Girardville at around 6:30 a.m. Thursday.

Melsom, they presume, broke into through the front door of the business. Once inside, Melsom allegedly stole a cash register that contained about $120.

Melsom is listed as a white man, 6-feet 1-inch tall, weighing 165 pounds. He’s got brown hair and is last known to be living in Girardville.

If anyone has information on his whereabouts, they’re asked to call the Frackville barracks at 570-874-5300.

Once caught, Melsom faces second-degree felony burglary and breaking-and-entering charges.
