Christine A. Muldowney, 57, of Port Carbon, passed on peacefully on Saturday at Geisinger Medical Center into the loving arms of our Lord after battling and surviving cancer and many surgeries.
Born on May 7, 1963 in Pottsville, she was a daughter of Marie Kadany Butscunas, Schoentown, and the late George E. Butscunas. A 1981 graduate of saint Clair High School, she had worked for the former D’Attilio Salon, Cressona. She was last employed by the Pottsville Area School District as a bus driver.
A dedicated animal lover and rescue supporter, Christine’s family often joked that all the SPCA organizations would go out of business if anything happened to her.
Surviving in addition to her mother are her sister, Teresa Kline and her husband, Barry, Schoentown; her nieces, Chloe and Caitlyn Kline; her uncle and godfather, John Kadany, Long Pond; her beloved greyhound, Isabelle. She was also very close to her stepdaughter, Nicole Muldowney, Portsmouth, Virginia.
In lieu of flowers, donations will be accepted to defray expenses.
Arrangements are incomplete. Please check for updates.
