APRIL 12 UPDATE: 9 New Cases of Chinese Virus ID’d in Schuylkill County

Health officials confirmed 9 new cases of Chinese virus in Schuylkill County on Easter Sunday.

The county total, to date, is 188. Two people in Schuylkill County have died while battling coronavirus infection.

Easter Sunday is the 22nd consecutive day of positive Chinese virus cases locally. Here’s a day-by-day breakdown:

Statewide, cumulatively, there are 22,833 positive Chinese virus cases as of noon on Easter Sunday. Pennsylvania’s death toll from coronavirus-related illness is now 507.

The first positive case in Pennsylvania was reported on March 6. The first case in Schuylkill County was reported on March 22.

Schuylkill County at 188 Positive Coronavirus Cases

To date, there are 22,833 total positive cases of Chinese virus in Pennsylvania and another 102,057 negatives.

The Blue line tracks New Positive cases of coronavirus while the Red tracks total to date. The yellow line marks Total Negative cases reported on the day and Green denotes the total amount of tests conducted. The Orange Line represents New Negative cases since the state started reporting them.

These are the cumulative totals for counties surrounding Schuylkill County. Note, Lehigh and Luzerne counties have the 3rd and 5th highest cumulative totals to date, respectively:
