APRIL 7 UPDATE: Schuylkill County Coronavirus Positive Total Reaches 119

Schuylkill County’s total of positive COVID-19 coronavirus now stands at 119. That total is 16 higher than yesterday. And it represents the highest daily total recorded for Schuylkill County since the start of the pandemic.

However, what we don’t know is if more Schuylkill County residents learned the results of their test in the last 24 hours.

This is the 17th consecutive day of positive coronavirus cases locally. Here’s a day-by-day breakdown:

Coronavirus in Schuylkill County april 7 update

Statewide, cumulatively, there are 14,559 positive cases as of noon Tuesday, April 7. Pennsylvania’s death toll from coronavirus-related illness is now 240. No deaths have been reported from Schuylkill County.

The first positive case in Pennsylvania was reported on March 6.

Schuylkill County at 119 Positive Coronavirus Cases

To date, there are 14,559 total positive cases in Pennsylvania and another 76,719 negatives.

The Curve

Here’s our own interactive chart created to show the “curve” in COVID-19 coronavirus cases. Note the blue line, which is what state officials have said they’re measuring as the “curve”. The Blue line tracks New Positive cases of coronavirus while the Red tracks total to date. The yellow line marks Total Negative cases reported on the day and Green denotes the total amount of tests conducted. The Orange Line represents New Negative cases since the state started reporting them.

  • Montgomery: 1,359 
  • Delaware: 898 
  • Northampton: 774
  • Bucks: 690 
  • Allegheny: 689 

These are the cumulative totals for counties surrounding Schuylkill County. Note, Lehigh and Luzerne counties have the 3rd and 4th highest cumulative totals to date, respectively:
