APRIL 1 UPDATE: Schuylkill County +9 Positive Coronavirus Cases

Schuylkill County’s total of positive COVID-19 coronavirus now stands at 47. That total is 9 higher than yesterday.

This is the 9th consecutive day of positive coronavirus cases locally. Here’s a day-by-day breakdown:

  • March 22: 1
  • March 23: 2
  • March 24: 2
  • March 25: 1
  • March 26: 3
  • March 27: 4
  • March 28: 3
  • March 29: 5
  • March 30: 9
  • March 31: 8
  • April 1: 9

Statewide, cumulatively, there are 5,805 positive cases as of noon Wednesday, April 1. That’s 962 cases more than Tuesday. Pennsylvania’s death toll from coronavirus-related illness is now 74.

The first positive case in Pennsylvania was reported on March 6.

Schuylkill County at 47 Positive Coronavirus Cases

To date, there are 5,805 total positive cases in Pennsylvania and another 42,427 negatives. A total of 48,232 tests have been conducted. The state reported results on 5,744 tests, positive and negative, on Wednesday.

The Curve

Here’s our own interactive chart created to show the “curve” in COVID-19 coronavirus cases. Note the blue line, which is what state officials have said they’re measuring as the “curve”. The Blue line tracks New Positive cases of coronavirus while the Red tracks total to date. The yellow line marks Total Negative cases reported on the day and Green denotes the total amount of tests conducted. The Orange Line represents New Negative cases since the state started reporting them.

The volume of new cases reported daily may be alarming. However, each day, the state gets more test results per day.
